Cyclone Pam passed us by, luckily only giving us a few days of rain and thunderstorms.
Houses were protected by nailing roofing iron over the windows, kids were still walking off to school, all with their colourful umbrellas.
On the day of the cyclone’s closest pass, school was closed – the kids loving the freedom and cooler weather to pay rugby and splash around on the wet grass.
No one was hurt, there was no property damage, and we are thankful for the break in the blazing summer weather we have had this year.
